When I started looking for a part time nanny last summer, I had no idea I would end up with someone so amazing! She walked into my life at the perfect moment! I remember when I was conducting interviews, she was my first ... and I instantly loved her. Lincoln was fussy, so we moved from the kitchen to the living room floor, and she popped down beside him and he sat right on her lap. I explained about Lincoln's medical history, his therapy, and things she may need to work with him on, and even though I am protective of all he has been through I felt at peace with her caring for him. She was bubbly and talkative, sharing her ideas, references, even some of her dreams, and almost interviewed me without my even knowing it! I felt I needed to keep an open mind, so I continued with two more interviews ... but no one compared and I felt strongly about following my gut! Months later, we still love Lauren. She is adventurous and creative, crafty and patient, beautiful and kind. A perfect match for my independent Lincoln.
While we love her dearly, Lauren is so much more than our nanny! She has a greater purpose for life and I encourage you to take a minute and look at her Greater Purpose Project! I love that she includes my son in her life and in her dreams for making a difference in the lives of others! As a non-profit, GPP is an inspiring organization helping real people overcome adversity, if you met Lauren in person you would see in her smile that she is truly genuine and special ... to the lives she touches through her work and in ours.
